Taylor Brill is a freelance director and producing consultant currently based in St. Louis where she serves on the Webster Groves Arts Commission, the Muny Young Friends Council, the Advisory Board for the Tennessee Williams Festival of St. Louis, the board of the Theatre Guild of Webster Groves and volunteers for the AFL Theatre Mask Awards

 

She is the former Artistic Director of the historic Off-Broadway Access Theater, and a passionate advocate for disabled artists. Producing: Gospel of the Marys (dir. Molly Houlahan, Furnace Festival 2019); On This Side of the World (dir. Noam Shapiro, Access Theater 2018); R+J: A Female and Genderqueer Adaptation of Romeo & Juliet (dir. Molly Houlahan, Hypokrit Theatre Company 2017), CRY EDEN (dir. Sarah Wansley, Access Theater, 2016). Selected directing credits follow. Regional: Lake Kelsey (Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists 2018), The Tempest (Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists 2016). New York City: The Island Boys (Urban Stages 2015); Summer Valley Fair (NYMF 2015); Sea Legs: A Nautical New Musical* (Araca Project 2014). Assistant Directing: Incognito (MTC, dir. Doug Hughes); Emilie: The Marquise du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight (Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, dir. Alex Greenfield); The Diver (US Premiere, dir. Rebecca Spooner); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Upright Egg Theatre, dir. Leah Adcock-Starr); Hedda Gabler (The Southern Theatre, dir. Genevieve Bennett). 2015-17 Manhattan Theatre Club Directing Fellow. Training: BFA in Directing from The University of Michigan.
